Excuse me for clogging the threads but I'm a major computer geek and I just wanted to know @ Editing/GFX loving Exo-ls: What's your favorite version of Photoshop to make all your gifs and edits? For gifs mine is CC and for general edits I like them all. :p But if I had to choose rest assured I'm going down with CC 2015 in my grave (and I'm currently installing CC 2017 right now lol).

CS5-CS6 for me honestly. These 2 versions are similar so [IMG]

It's exactly like the newer version of 2015, tbh. The new things added are the start up which shows you previews in the beginning I changed the workspace tho because I found it annoying. But I like it! :p ^^ Had to reinstall it too because something went wonky e_e

anything other than elements. i have elements 9 and it's junk (it doesn't work with gifs and it's just really clunky overall). i'm hoping i'll have the money to buy cc in the future.

Honestly I don't see much of a difference between CS6 and CC for most internet uses, so to speak, like making edits etc. But ofc PS always improves from one version to the next. I think the Clone Tool, for example, became quite more accurate and I like how in CC it shows the preview from the area I'm copying from. Besides there're a couple more tools too (even though I don't use them lel). In general, for tools/filters accuracy, the newest version tends to be the best so I'm sticking to CC 2015 as for now. It always takes me a little while to adapt to newer versions tho... I'll test CC 2017 once it's cracked lol

We have latest version at work (before 2017) and I like it fine, but I don't do heavy image editing at work so I'm not even using all the features. But I have CS2 on my laptop and besides the ehh way you have to import gifs, it works well for my needs lol

If you don't mind an older version, the Adobe website lets you get official Photoshop CS2 (along with the other cs2 products) for free from here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html?promoid=19SCDRQK#

You just have to make an Adobe account first.

Okay I'm just now realizing how much more they added to CC 2017 now. Also, you can go back to using the old version for the new document section. I like the newer one tho so I'll keep it~
